STUDIO VLOG ✿ i’ve made a huge mistake 🥲 & new year reflections | Running a Small Art Business

It's not How I wanted the year to end, but we have had a little bit of a disaster, which means unfortunately we are going to lose alot of money!

I am going to try and take this on the chin and move forward with the new year! And although it's a pretty big mistake, I will definately take this as a big learning curve as I reflect on the new year!

Also I tried to clean up my audio using descript in this video (because I recorded it on my phone!) and I’ve had a few comments saying it sounded weird lol 😂 I’m so sorry! I see what you mean 😂 it was meant to remove background noise but it sounds so strange now I listen back 🫠🫠🫠 I don’t think I’ll use it again I hope you still enjoyed it!

The calendar is SO cute and you should still be so proud of it. The fact that one date missing off your calendar is the biggest business mistake you’ve made this year proves just how amazing you are!! :) I’ve just ordered one along with some index tab stickers sheets for when I re-organise my office, I can’t wait ☺️💕 have the best time in Japan!!! Some people will complain about anything, I’m sure most will be fine about it. It’s a very minor thing, don’t be too hard on yourself. Happy New Year 🎉

You could make a digital download of the correct calendar! And then a freebie digital download single for the may dates page/the art misprint page. That way people can get the physical second, and the corrections, or a fully correct digital download. For the freebie fixes you could just add them as like a digital addon in the shop so they wouldn't need their own listing or anything just so it isn't fully wild west with the fix pages.

Also I have thought for years that your katnipp cafe theme and characters would be the cutest phone game in the style of furistas cat cafe or something. best wishes and happy new year!

I am one of those people who gets their calendars quite late, and when you said you weren’t listing it anymore, my heart sunk! But then later in the video when you said you’d still be listing them, but at a discount, I got so happy! I honestly don’t care about the misprint, it’s an easy fix, and the fact that maybe two characters a slightly fuzzy also doesn’t bother me at all. You worked so hard that it would have been a shame to just bin the whole product, so I’m really glad that you decided to still sell it. I know many of us have become loyal to your calendar, and because of it we’re happy to support you. I’ve gone ahead and placed my order just a few moments ago, along with some pins and stickers.

I once bought a calendar (from a different local company but still mass produced and sold in stores) that was missing an entire month! I reached out to the company to let them know, not to complain, but never got a reply. Your calendar is beautiful and I love it, please be gentle with yourself! I know it’s difficult, but you shouldn’t be embarrassed. I’ve worked in the printing/design industry for over 20 years and mistakes happen very easily. Calendars are always the worst offenders—it’s a lot of data to look over. ❤ Your calendars are still usable—not assembled in the wrong order—that’s a win! ❤

Having it at a slightly discounted price is fair, and your super fans won't care about making that small fix themselves.
