Figma: How to cut a segment of a line, stroke or shape

I hope this tutorial is helpful for you, I just started using Figma and had a hard time figuring this out although it looks so easy and obvious.

I apologize if you don't understand what I say, as english is not my main language, but if you have any questions please leave it in the comments and I'll my best try to answer them.

Thanks a lot for the information! I've been trying to figure this out for weeks on SNG youtube but no one even stutters about the contour cutting problem. As soon as I googled in English, I immediately found the answer from you. It's amazing why the developers didn't want to just add a scissors-like tool, because when you working with a path, it is very often necessary. Maybe it will shown up later.

This (and the fact that they don't show previews of the typefaces when you are deciding which one to use on the list) is/was my BIGGEST frustration with using Figma! and the reason I would still sometimes go into Sketch to just do it there, but now my Sketch software has stopped working for some reason...

The real issue is that we've been conditioned to require a Scissors tool or other tools, when the simplest approach is probably the best.
