This really hit hard 😢
My grandfather was the Alpha that everyone turned to and looked up to in our family.
He passed a couple years ago and there is mostly all woman in the family.
No one that's Alpha to step up
It's a hurt you mourn for guidance

I am the youngest of 4 brothers yet it was left to me to stand up in front of everyone and read a eulogy. I prepared it over a few days leading up to his funeral and read it to my mother in private first. Never done any public speaking before but happy to say I nailed it and we laughed together at some of the memories the way he would have wanted.

that is great advice.
the day is coming for me to deal with this, and that is a great way to approach this.
I said goodbye to my stepfather a few years back and seeing my mother and him so prepared was a true lesson in life.

My fathers were contemptible men. The fact i'm still taking care of my child makes me stronger. A low bar as far as i'm concerned.

So basically act emotionless which can be taken as you didn’t care for your father and all for your personal ego?
