Dropped my phone in a saltwater canal today. It was about 5.5' deep and murky. Took me a solid ten minutes to find it, even with goggles. I couldn't believe that there seemed to be no negative effects at all so, I looked up videos like this to reassure myself that the phone will be ok. Four hours later; so far, so good...

Just to let everyone know, this is just to minimize damage to your phone by water. And to keep it fully functional and damage-free if you accidentally drop it in to water, or the ocean. Be careful and don't have it in water for too long or it can find it's way in to the phone eventually and cause damages.

I accidentally drop my phone in my bathwater just now. It was submerged all the way for at least 5 seconds. I freaked our and dried it as quick as i could. Got the cover off and dried. It appears to be fine but I still wouldn't chance it. It's not a cheap phone.

I dropped mine in the carribean sea last year. Admittedly, I was a little intoxicated after drinking a shitload of rum punch on a catamaran cruise around the island. My phone was completely submerged in 6 feet of water for about a minute. I was convinced I'd damaged it, but no, 8 months later, works as perfect as it did before. I'm still not gonna retest the theory by conducting any experiments, but it's reassuring to know that if the worst were to happen, it shouldn't damage your phone.

I started antutu benchmark on my iPhone 7 and put it in a bucket of cold water, it managed to get 5% performance increase

I just pulled my s21 out of the washing machine 10 minutes ago. It's working just fine and it was in there for over half of the cycle!

I didnt eveb soak it in water just a splashand the speakers making noises instead if music will it recover or its damaged ?

My cat just knocked my phone in the bath while it was filling it up and i went into the bedroom. Came back and it was fully in the water for at least a minute. Thanks for making this video and giving me a little peace of mind! Seems to ne working fine!

Hi there ! I need help, my s21 took some cool videos at the beach however I can't seem to get rid of the moisture detection notification, my battery is low and I cannot charge it, do you have any solutions ? Moisture detection won't let me charge, it says to immediately pull out charging cable

What he's not showing is that if you try to charge it for awhile after even if dried off it will say moisture detected in the Port and it won't charge. For at least a couple hours after.
