I’ve seen a couple of your videos now & i really like your strategy of when to sell to minimize risk, when to take profit, etc, and of course *how much* one would need to trade to make a living out of it. Not a bad idea, even for a side hustle. Thanks again!

Please, do the math guys! Turning $5000 into $41400 (very random number, by the way) in a year means that you would have to achieve 728% return on capital. In order to accomplish this you would have to take on an extraordinarily high amount of risk. This is not impossible, but not very probable. You might as well buy lottery tickets, play roulette or bet on sports. More realistic (but still optimistic) scenario is 15-20% return on capital/year for experienced traders. This requires capital if you need to trade for living. If you account for 25% tax rate on capital gains you need at least $300, 000 to $500, 000 to make approximately $50, 000 after tax. Just a more realistic and more sustainable scenario.

So Marcus could I open an M1 finance app or Robinhood app with 100 dollars just to practice until I get the 5000 dollars you talking about so I can open a. Brokerage account like fedelity so I can play with the big boys correct???? What your take on my strategy? I will be waiting for your response thank you.

I think a $250, 000 account is a good size, make 1% of the account a day will give you $2, 500.00 per day.... Less taxes.
