I never noticed as a kid, but I like that the villain dogs have New York accents too. Normally I expect villains to have either neutral accents (compared to the heroes) or British accents.

Great movie! i did saw this when it first came out november 1988 when i was 6 3 times even on new year's day 89 when i lived in Omaha as i had some stuff like a couple of shirts, coloring book, stuffed Oliver, CD soundtrack ( got this for Christmas and my first CD), Mcdonald toys, Oliver for tree, and all that.

I was disappointed it never hit video in 89 as i wanted it but i had to wait 8 years and i did saw the 96 re-issue in theaters at ag 14 with my middle school friends who also saw the movie in theaters when they were younger too and were also wondered why it didn't come to video for years and we had a good time seeing it in theaters to revive our childhood memory and even got the movie on VHS for christmas 25 years ago then in 2002 replaced the tape with DVD the in 2013 with the blu.
