Master Decision Making Using These 3 Tips
Показать описание
Decisions, big and small, are building you and shaping your journey everyday.
Therefore, the better we get at making decisions, the better our lives (and we!) become.
This took me some time to get the hang of as I didn’t realize the impact of all the small decisions I was making; where I was spending my time and with who, what I was eating, how I was moving my body, and how I was nurturing my mind, and how those micro decisions were really leading to the macro decisions like moving across the country, starting my business, pivoting my business, committing to a lifelong partnership with Isaiah, starting a family - and everything in between that lead me to who I am and the life I’m living today.
I shared what took me the long road to learn @wwbizacademy last week. Here’s a few of the takeaways:
1. Make Decisions from both the Logical and Emotional Brain.
There’s a beautiful dance between rationally analyzing the information you have available AND following your inner guidance. Being overly analytical and logic-heavy when making decisions leads to overwhelm, brain fog, and paralysis/procrastination. On the other hand, relying solely on intuition and gut feelings leads to quick, reactive decisions with little conscious thought. Instead, find the middle ground and make decisions that reflect your WHOLE self.
2. Set Your North Star.
Filter your decisions through your MISSION. Mission is Vision (direction you’re moving in) + Values (your fundamental beliefs and principles). Place these at the forefront of your mind and release other’s input and opinions (they’ll only serve as distractions!). Let your mission guide every decision you make, from who you spend your time with, to what conversations you have, to where you live. Simply, ask yourself this question: “Does this support the life I am creating?”
3. Eliminate the Fear of Making the Wrong Decision.
Almost all decisions are reversible and often, we’re taking ourselves way too seriously.
My last and final suggestion:
Trust yourself.
