This made me even more unsure of which one I should go with. I love them both! :D

Awesome video and now I’m picking the express impress. Watched few videos but this one watching the guys try it out and still pull awesome shot sells me. My old express machine was to difficult the grind and tamper was horrible and I ended up selling g it a few months later. Now I’m getting the automatic one!! Love it. ❤ thank you for this video. Shows it’s now made the issues I had with the previous machine are now automatically done here. I’m sold. It’s Black Friday and it’s $999 cdn for the express impress. The pro is also $930cdn. The old express is now $730cdn so I’m sold with the express impress. Thank you for awesome video. Going online and buying now before sale ends and i have to wait for closer to Christmas for the next sale!! Cheers ❤

Thank you for the video, seeing you making the coffee helped me more than just reading or listening to the technical differences. my choice is made, thank you !

Impress is using old makeup of the express that’s my only reason for not wanting it. Like give my the thermal jet and the better steam wand on the impress and it would have been perfect for me.
Going for the pro, also like the automatic steaming option

For someone who doesn't use a coffee machine, it was very helpful to see how easy it was for Oli and Wes to use. Great to know that it didn't taste any different, seems foolproof to make a good coffee!

The express impression it is! Thank you. Watching their bean grinder that fast and ready to go, I was sold 😂

Thanks for your video. Seems the express impress is the machine for me. I don't think I can dial in and weights carefully in hectic mornings before work and the automatic tamping dosing is nice. While I can still learn and practice manual tamping during weekends. Yeah

I'm seriously considering the impress. So far, I haven't seen anyone claiming that it makes worse coffee compared to the more manual models and it has the added versatility.

Excellent diction, easy to understand for a non-native speaker of English.

I have the impress now for a couple of weeks and I would be very interested in the tools allowing me to do a manual dose, distribution and tamping. It took me a bag of beans to dial it in but I haven't looked back since. It is an impressive machine, excuse the pun!

Great review!

Leaning toward the Impress because of the ease of use (and the cleanliness most importantly) for quick mornings and occasional guest use but I do also have the Smart Grinder Pro for my Precision Brewer.

Thought process is that I mainly use the Impress for day to day use and as I inevitably go through the rabbit hole I can then transfer over to the Smart Grinder Pro for dosing and tamping if it ever got to that point.

Video definitely helped me!

Thanks for the video - Great . It was just a bit confusing to see you using the pro while talking about the Impress

were the two Sega models I wanted to compare. Well, thank you very much.
I was wondering what the differences were. I went with the Barista Pro series.

Impress looks good and I was considering it but with the black Friday, the Express was the best deal. Over £200 cheaper.

Thanks for this. If I understand well, beside the speed of the steaming system, there are little differences between the 2 machines in favor of the Pro. Actually the Impress can do the sane job with a couple of accessories, while the Pro won't ever offer the features of the Impress. That's It?

This is a great comparison! I am not surprised that the quality is the same because they are both using the same grinder. Looks like the Express Impress was Frankenstined from the Express. Does the Impress have a true porta filter and cup warmer like the Express?

I recently bought Barista Pro and it is the best machine I've ever used, always making impressive espresso. Pre infusion is key, always 1:2 18>36 in 30 sec

I was sure I wanted the pro and then went to go buy it in person this weekend and was just drawn to the Express Impress because of how elegant and fancy it looks. The Pro looks more like a basic coffee machine because of the screen. I don’t know why it just somehow looks cheaper and more plastic in person

I’m glad I went with the Impress because it is so easy to get a perfect shot out of it. I don’t have to worry about manual tamping pressure and such.

I get a perfect creamy shot every time now

Are you able to use an aftermarket bottomless portafilter on the Impress and still take advantage of all of the automatic grinding and dosing with it? The Impress looks like a great all-around tool for a beginner in the hobby like myself, which will allow me to grow my skills with it over time, and make things easy on lazy mornings. Would be nice to be able to see the shot as it pulls. Love these reviews and comparisons, cheers!
