FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI FILM:
PRO TIP: Instax Film Deals: It helps to look around and buy in bulk. Generally, the 60 image value pack is your best bet for the lowest pricing. It only contains the plain white borders but is normally the cheapest around 58 cents per shot, or $5.80 per 10pack.

FUJIFILM INSTAX SQUARE FILM:
PRO TIP: Instax SQUARE can be found for about 87-91 cents per sheet regularly. I have found some of the best deals for you here. Make sure to look around and divide the price of the film by the number of sheets. If you are paying more than 91 cents each, you are paying too much!

FUJIFILM INSTAX WIDE FILM:
PRO TIP: You can find Instax WIDE for about 90 cents a shot.

INSTAX CAMERAS:
PRO TIP: Getting the best price is usually linked to color. So make sure to check the color options to ensure you are getting the best price. You may prefer black, but if the yellow one is $30 less, it may be worth the savings.

POLAROID CAMERAS:
PRO TIP: Don’t buy the camera bundled with film or accessories. You will usually overpay!

POLAROID FILM:
PRO TIP: Get the right film. Vintage cameras use 600-TYPE Film. If you have a Polaroid camera you got from your grandmother or at the thrift store, it uses 600-TYPE film. If you have a new Polaroid camera, it uses I-TYPE film. If you have a Polaroid camera that folds flat, it uses SX-70 TYPE Film.

Polaroid 600 and SX-70 film is more expensive than the I-Type film because the cartridges have batteries in the packs of film to power the cameras. Your best bet when buying polaroid is to buy the official bulk packs.

For those looking at this camera, the cons: 1) More expensive than the cheap plastic Fujifilm cameras. The premium is for the lens and metal construction. 2) Exposure consistency takes time to master (watch Robert's various videos). 3) The focus magnifying glass could be easier to get to. Currently awkward. 4) There is no shutter release cable for using this in bulb mode. 5) Not easy to use in landscape orientation.

It DOES look like fun, but four hunge for an Instax Mini camera is a bit hard to swallow. The extra several hundred dollars could buy a LOT of Instax film for an Instax Wide, for example...

I did get one today secondhand for cheap! (only 155 bucks) can't wait to try it out. it is the "first generation" though. But I will do the 2.0 viewfinder upgrade on it.

Also got 2-3 old polaroid camera's. they won't be my main camera, but I do love the idea of having it as an extra camera or enjoy the challenge of the instant format.

Hi Robert, Here's my question. After viewing your videos of this camera and speaking with Mint directly I'm wondering if you feel it's worth it to buy the Rollei version? It has a different and brighter viewfinder plus enhanced quality control by Rollie. Mint offers it directly also. At the price point it's not a big deal to pay an extra $78 if there is a distinct advantage. What are your thoughts? I greatly appreciate the time and effort you have put in the last couple of years with several videos of this camera. Be well and stay safe. Oh, one more question. Did you try the monochrome film? I love monochrome but I don't see any value packs around.

The Mini format is the only deal breaker to me, otherwise it would be amazing
