Logistics is one of the most important facts in the three kingdoms noval, not unit types.
Too may traditional RTS game players still stuck on how many unit types this game may offer. If you read the noval, lots of famous battles were won by destroying enemy's supply route, not the army.
Would like to see CA can do something about that. That is real innovation.

At the beginning I was thinking who the hell is Wu Xing, and then realize that's 五行

The ancients divided the word and the universe into five kinds of things, that is, they were divided into five categories: gold, wood, water, fire, and five categories. They were called "five elements. Five basic substances and their movements. The five elements are one in ancient China." A variety of material views. Used in philosophy, Chinese medicine and divination.

Dunno. I mean, it's stylish and all, but he presents if as if they independently created the units and then sorting them by a separate logic into the elemental categories, resulting in the perception that they perfectly fit. What I see is that they noted that units have the typical rock paper scissors relationship which is very well known, and then sorted them into the elements so that they somewhat fit the element but most of all fulfill the "element beats element" scheme.
I see the Wu Xing thing as something that gives some nice fluff to the game, but I don't see it as a perfectly guidance to which everything naturally fits.
It is even broken in those very examples. Bows are good against shock cavalry? I mean, if they are well defended, okay, but whether I use shock cavalry or melee cavalry against archers, if I have a good hit, I do damage, right? And if I can defend my archers, they are strong against both types of cavalry.
There is the example from the beginning video about spearman with and without shields against archers, and that is not addressed at all.

As for the buildings, does that mean that the destroying factor results in some buildings being negative for others, like education buildings harming your military recruitment? If so, I'd consider that somewhat odd and over-complicating things here.

But again, I like it as an element of style. Not saying they should remove it, on the contrary, I like it when such things are in a game. Wanted to emphasize it, as my comment probably sounds negative, but is meant more of a line of thought than a harsh critique or anything. Like a lot about what I've heard so far, especially the concept of romanticized characters, creating a middle ground between the historical Total War games and Warhammer.
