In 60 years, nobody had seen a Bond silhouette vanish into the void of non-existence. A very, very powerful Gunbarrel sequence; one of my favourites.

"Huh, no blood dribbling down. And Bond fades away? Oh well, never mind. It's not like he's gonna die at the end of the film or anything, right? RIGHT?"

Note that the gunshot did not come from James’ gun. His gun didn’t show a muzzle flash. And once the shot was made, he vanished, and there’s no blood dripping down from the gunbarrel perspective.

The gunman finally got him.

This never gets old watching in theatres. I hope the next era of films come out on a steady release schedule

I love that "twang, twang, twang twang" as the dots go along.
BEST gunbarrel music imo

Whenever I watch this gun barrel scene, it reminds me of this being the opposite of Casino Royale’s gun barrel scene, where the camera zooms out from Bond. And now here, the camera zooms in, kind of signifying Craig’s Bond finally made full circle (he was my favorite Bond).

"How did he die?"
"Your cameraman? Not well."

Anyone notice the homage to this at the end of the movie as Bond turns and shoots someone before entering the control room? Dope scene.

Most classic and recognizable intro in cinematic history

I think this is my favorite rendition of the Gunbarrel music.

The guitar!!

So if the fade out signifies Bond's death, and Lazenby dropping to one knee foreshadows Bond's marriage, I wonder how many other gunbarrels have had hidden messages.

Love that new MGM look.
And I really love the remixed theme and the foreshadowing the gun barrel sequence has

Him fading was also to show that this is in fact Daniel Craig’s final stint as Bond

I really like how they foreshadowed Bond dying in this movie with him fading away rather than the traditional blood dripping down.

Someone else here also pointed out that the On Her Majesty’s Secret Service gunbarrel has Lazenby shooting on one knee, a reference to Bond getting married in that movie. Very awesome stuff.

Best gun barrel tunnel sequence I've seen in my opinion!

5 movies and not once had Daniel Craig gotten the gunbarrel right. Casino Royale, i'll give him that. that was the editor's fault for the way that one looked. Quantum of Solace, he rushed right in there, looking like he didn't want to be there and wanted to get it over with. Skyfall, still looking like he couldn't give two shits about what he's doing. the other actors had some swag. Spectre, he's showing off the gun, throwing away the element of surprise. No Time to Die, you can clearly see the barrel of the gun behind his back!

You can’t open a Bond movie without the gunbarrel
