You really have to hear the song without the break between the beginning and the middle. It flows much better without it and the genre switch actually isn't as off putting. I would really watch the dance practice so you can hear the song the way I think it should be heard and see just how talented they are. I had to do that myself before I started to like it and it's now on my spotify k-pop list.

i can see why people are blaming nct and aespa for this, but there's a method to turning 2-3 songs into 1. this got as far as collecting the songs, but then just threw them together with no transition or overarching motifs to give some semblance of unity lol. also knocking off well known groups and companies is a dumb move. people don't even have to do any googling to realise what you've done.

i think you'd like Twice from JYP, and GOT7 used to be under them but got their freedom last year.

And the song, same, i like mix song but is confusing, i think it's sounds more like mashup music, isnt it?
But again maybe their concept is mixing all genre music so it's make sense for the sounds.
Agree with RJ, this is the song that need to listen multiple times to see if it's really good or not.

I actually hated this song on the first listen. But after a few more listens it’s one of my favorite kpop songs. When it comes to this song you kind of have to listen to the second part as it’s one and not think about the transition. I used to hate the transition but I actually really like it now. Yes, it was unexpected but the second part is good so it’s okay to have the transition. I also love the last transition after the bridge. It just sounds so good to me. When listening to this song you kind of have to realize that it’s two different songs that come together. One thing though, at 2:45, you can hear the guitar which has the same tune as the first part of the song. I think this song got a lot of hate because everyone just focused on the transition and not the song, which was what I did at first. But once you listen to the song a few times and actually hear the song, and not the transition, you can realize that both parts are good. I honestly love this song, the vocals were amazing. And yes the lyrics made no sense, I admit, but you can’t deny that’s it’s really fun to say “shoog shoog shoog” and “popcorn and zero coke” (P.S I feel like I’m the only person who actually liked the first part better than the second, but both are good.)

I was underwhelmed, to be honest. I expected more because the teasers were great. It just didn’t work for me. I did like the pre-chorus and the chorus, though. Hope their next songs will be better.
