I have watched Tamasaburo and Kikunosuke's Musume Dojoji so many times. I just love the way they interact on stage and the subtle differences in their interpretation. I don't know if anyone else in his generation has the versatility and range that Kikunosuke has, so he's the perfect successor to his father.

Could it be possible to have a video like this one talking abour the career of Nakamura Kazutaro? I love how he has developed his own style. I love this one, thank you very much!

Will there ever be an onnagata as beautiful, controlled or as delicate as Bando Tamasaburo? He is one in a million. 💕💕🌸🌺🌹🌸🌺🌟👑

Thank you for this video! I also think he will be the best, if not, definitely one of the best dancers of his generation and this video does an excellent job of showing how he has evolved as a dancer. He was already a good dancer at the age of 17 but you can see how he matured and how he had learned so much from Tamasaburo. This year will be a great year for all the Kikunosuke watchers!

Brother, I've been following Kikunosuke since a long time, back when Kabuki-za reopened in 2013. And if I remember correctly, he learned a lot of dances and roles from Tamasaburo V (there was even a documentary about it on YouTube in which Tamasaburo helps Kikunosuke with the controversial role of Tamate Gozen). And as you said that Kikunosuke could become one of the next great Kabuki dancers of this generation, this leads us to a question: besides him, which other Kabuki actors from the same generation as him could also come to be considered dance legends in the Kabuki world?

Interesting how he choose not to take his grandfather's name and become Baiko VIII. He's always seemed closer to his grandpa than his dad in terms of roles played

I am Filipino but my spirit is from Japan. I don't know why I love Japanese culture and everytime I watching Kabuki it feels like I lived Edo Period.

Can anyone update on the latest status of Ichikawa Ennosuke? Does his conviction means the end of his kabuki career?
