George, your info re Russia natural gas is all wrong. Completely wrong.

Russia can not DELIVER natural gas to China. Currently there is only one very small pipeline delivering gas to China, and it is already at capacity. To sell more gas to China, Russia must liquefy that gas - very expensive and difficult - and then deliver that gas via ship. That requires very special ships. Those ships do not physically exist in the quantity required, and they take years to build. Of the LNG transfer ships currently available, most are already under contract to the US to deliver LNG to Europe. In addition, Russia has only one port where liquefaction of gas can be done, and it has no where near the capacity to supply LNG to China in any meaningful quantity. So: Russia cannot make enough LNG to supply China, AND the ships required to transfer the product are not available.

Russia is really screwed. Most of Russia's income was based on the sale of natural gas to Europe. With that over, they cannot sell the gas to anyone else, and they cannot store it; they have to shut down production. But restarting production is very difficult, and may not be technically achievable by Russia. It was originally done by US petroleum companies, but they all left when the war started.

China is not buying more natural gas from Russia. As a result, they are not selling that gas to anyone.

The most confusing part of this is, if the dollar is getting stronger, why are we still getting higher and higher prices and increases if the dollar is so strong why is inflation going out of control?… just doesnt make any sense to me

ECB raising rates does nothing to alleviate the energy crisis, why would you cripple households in an attempt to lower inflation when the main driver Russia? If they raise rates they would have to print money to save the households anyway, probably have to do that in any case.

Why can't the USA ramp up oil production and transport to Europe?

China can’t buy gas from Russia which was destined for Europe.
You can’t just load gas into containers. Overwhelming majority of Russian Gas was exported by pipelines. There is no enough gas transporting ships, and Russia hasn’t got the necessary infrastructure for shipping natural gas by sea.
Oil they can export to China via railroad. But still it is much more expensive than by pipes, and China + India demand huge discount for taking some of the oil which won’t go to Europe.
At the moment USA has become the largest Europe supplier with natural gas.
