Love this tutorial. I can only play those chords as I’m a beginner and can’t get my fingers into positions for other chords. But Noel Gallagher is one of the best song writers of my era so I’m happy to learn songs using just them

Great lesson Andy. Its worth noting for beginners that literally 75% of modern pop can be played with these chords. Noel was a master of making them sound different.

Songbird was the first song I ever learned. It’s really easy as a beginner with just the G and Em and the G/F# link in a loop. Pretty cool

I find it hysterical that four song he wrote used the same progressions and makes millions off of them, genius

Quite incredible really. Never really took note of this regarding Oasis.

Wonderwall is my favourite song on the acoustic guitar and thankfully i will never be one of the haters, if someone wants me to play Wonderwall i will gladly play it for them!
Great video as always Andy!

Noel has said in interviews that he didn't know what a capo was and when he was given one it changed everything.

As a drummer I used to feel less as good as guitarists who wrote songs I played in bands with when i wrote a choon but after a while I gained confidence in believing in my choons and all I do is use the main cords but using my imagination on syllables and order of the cords and pride in lyrics/key change in vocals over the same cords too.I think my choons are melodic a cool..so just keep trucking is my advice…
