I was looking for a way to auto-synch audio from different devices. I recorded something with my smartphone, and used an external source (two voice recorders). The voice recorders ran for an hour nonstop, but I paused recording on the camera several times. I was wondering how to drop all the files into Vegas and have it auto-synch the audio, if possible.

My room has a lot of noise. So the visual representation technique isn't much handy. I mostly do sync by ear but is there any other way around?

I've been watching so many of these vids, I'm very thankful for all of this learning material. You explain everything so well and make it fun to learn (whether the steps are tedious or not). I appreciate all you do, thank you!

Great advice there. Is it possible to add markers to a music track, per ‘bar’ or the best of the music, like in Premiere Pro by hitting the ‘star’ key???

Hey Nick! I'm quite desperate and need advice!
When I edit video tracks and adding FX and Track Motion Keyframes, I CAN'T move the clips without the Keyframes staying behind!
I mean, how tf am I supposed to edit this way?? Is there a solution?
I swear I'd consider switching to Premiere if you tell me they solve that.
I'm quite techy, googled and looked everywhere but I'm seriously about to give up, HELP...
Thanks!

I have movie studio 16 and it's a great clone program of vegas, but my automatic audio sync isnt working. Also, I try to adjust brightness and whatnot, but after saving it as a movie, it always looks meh.

Good stuff. I just started doing this in Premiere since I got my real mic and I’ve been using the old “clap!” Trick to sync the big audio spike. One thing in this video I need to try on premiere is grouping the audio and video tracks together so when I clip it does them both and I’m not having to do audio and video separately. Luckily premier has snapping so it’s not too bad

As a new user trying to produce a multiscreen music video - is there any way to move parts around to sync other than using the mouse?
The mouse is a bit drastic! :(
I'm looking to just nudge parts a wee bit at a time.

This didnt help me. I cant align tracks, but i think its because the 2 tracks are on different frame rates, something more technical than what's covered here.

Nice guide ! Not sure wether this falls under editing in general, but I'll give it a try.. so.. for your next video, would you like to exemplify j-cuts and l-cuts ;) ?
