We just migrated over to Symphonic from SC for Artists and so far it's been a godsend! The difference between distributors is massive, Symphonic just do it so well and one thing that has been incredible is their customer service.

Their response time has always been within 24-48 hours, it's ALWAYS a personal reply (no automatic response), and they are so helpful.

I once had a reply from a SC for Artists ticket after 77 days'.... No kidding! 😅

Honestly, I can't fault Symphonic, a truly amazing experience!

Great video, the interface has significantly improved since I canceled in 2021. I'm thinking of resubscribing as they seem to have everything we need. By the way, the promotion you're curious about is exclusively for Electronic Music. It involves creating a mailing list of DJs to whom we send a promotional copy (free version). However, to download it and play in their gigs, they must evaluate the work by answering a few questions.

Good video, but what we'd really like to know is:

1) How long does it take to get your release approved? What is the fastest, theoretically, you can get your song distributed? Like, we've got a Halloween song that ideally should be out before.... well, you guessed it. ;)
2) Will your songs stay up once you stop subscribing? That is THE number one priority when we choose a distributor, and also why we left DistroKid and their stupidly expensive "Leave a Legacy".
3) What does the Partner Plan cost? It seems that you only get to use one band name, so that you'd have to upgrade to release as a different artist (like a solo release from the lead singer). This means we're better off using a free distributor which offers the same services, like Unchained Music, especially if Symphonic will take down our releases once we stop subscribing.
4) What is their stance on AI-aided music? I'm not talking about grabbing songs straight off of Suno to release them, like a lot of amateurs seem to be doing these days, but we've switched from using tools such as BiaB and Magix Music Maker to AI generators to improve our recordings, and we don't want any trouble. Lots of distributors seem to be banning "AI music" these days, no matter how much, or little, an artist has used AI.

A couple of questions- this will be my first release and I don't have a spotify or youtube page yet. I was going to use CDBaby and they assign an artist YT page. Do I need to create them myself now, or wait until the first song is released? Also, where do you get that catalog number? Is it just a random number?

I'm CEO of an emerging Indy record label and before I discovered three tone through you and wanted to try them as a label but recently have found some bad reports of their business. Did this pertain to you and what is your experience with them? Should I no longer consider them

So if I'm a small indie LABEL with 15 artists can I use the $14.99 package and put me as the LABEL and add each artist name or group as they release or do I have to apply for the other package?

I don't need all the bells and whistles of the other and we just started so I wouldn't have any impressive stats yet.
