REALSPACE

In the late nineteenth century, the untamed complexities of the real became a new frontier for poetic and critical narratives developing in modern art. Reversing its long foray into the fictional illusions of pictorial space, art emerged in the same reality that its onlookers occupied — art probing in the same space that science studies. Realspace. Today, the continuing reverberations of that historic paradigm shift are manifest in the globally burgeoning kinship of art and science.
