Exploring SCP-407 The Song Of Genesis The SCP Foundation

SCP-407 is a song in an unidentified language, seemingly sung a cappella. The voices are thought to be human. The tape containing SCP-407 was found with one track of approximately thirty (30) minutes duration, though the abrupt ending suggests there may be more. The song has been described by all listeners as something along the lines of 'soothing', 'glorious', and 'beautiful'.

While SCP-407 is played, rapid cell generation seems to occur within auditory radius. This effect seems to occur at the cellular level, and does not require the subject to be able to hear the music. The changes seem to only affect multi-cellular organisms at first, but quickly begins to affect mitosis in single-celled organisms.

I’m a geneticist here in South Africa. My guess is that this SCP doesn’t affect cancer cells, because all cancers are basically made up of cells that won’t stop replicating
(We have genes that suppress unnecessary mitosis, but when these genes aren’t present or mutate, then the result is cancerous)
It’s just a guess, but when I heard that it causes continuous cells but has no affect on cancer, it could possibly be because cancer cells already experience the fundamental mechanics of how this SCP functions.

I think I can understand why cancer is off the table when healing, cancer is basically cells not following a part of their life cycle and is just rapidly replicating, so basically 407 is forcing cells into a cancerous like state while hearing it

I wonder what happens to someone if they only hear the first bits of the song? Say, 2-3 mins max. Would they become more healthy and then as soon as the recording stops stay that way, would they deteriorate, or would they still get all the negative side effects, albeit at a slower rate. I wonder if this is a case of "everything in moderation."

If I remember right from bio class I believe that cancer is viewed as a cell that has been mutated is some way. So I think the reason why the song doesn’t affect cancer is because the cancer is still a cell in a since so it doesn’t kill it off.
From what this scp sounds to me that the song pretty much makes cell raptly evolve. First stage the person is more heathy and even strong and bigger. But if left uncheck it starts to wrap the person. I like this because we humans have no idea what our next stage of evolution will be.
