This is an absolutely gem describing, showing, and listening to the phonemes isolated and in words. <3 Thank you!

Used in Diné Bizaad (Navajo language), Western Apache languages, Salish, and a few other Na-Dené family languages too.

This is the Welsh "ll" sound. I'm surprised examples weren't given of it. It's also a kind of lisp some people have.

Thanks! Needed that for some old Semitic languages

this sound is so natural to me unlike other foreign phonemes, some phonemes are definitely easy to pronounce based on your genetics, especially compared to how hard it is for me to pronounce aboriginal Australian phonemes which btw many are not found anywhere else on earth, and even the different aboriginal language families have very similar phonemes due to similar vocal structure

Thanks! I'm learning this for Welsh. I've also seen it in native American languages like Nahuatl.

Perfect. Also used in Sassarese and North-West Sardinian (both in Sardinia island)

Yay my favorite consonant! In French and English [ ɬ ] together with [ ɮ ] can be used in a humoristic way as a substition of s/z when you want to imitate a goofy character ; really dumb or really hungry or both.

These are great videos! The one improvement -- mentioned by others -- would be to remove the background music when the target sound is bein produced. Thank you!

Nice to see other languages use it, I've only heard it in Welsh and I always thought it was unique to our language

This is way different from a Tibetan voiceless l. The Tibetan oh never sounds like "shlaaa".

Nice video. I would say that the animation doesn't quite do the movement of the tongue justice; pretty sure the tongue should be hitting the roof of the mouth and that this should happen just behind the teeth. Cheers.
