Beautiful and completely edible!  So happy to not see any inedible plastic disco dust ruining food.  Thank you!

Cake pops I think they are visual more than anything. I appreciate what Bakerella is going and she is pretty clever since I understand she is the pioneer of this idea. I have made cake pops, even with cream cheese instead of frosting, but I still find them too sweet and dense. Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer a good slice of cake, or moving a bit forwards, a good cupcake. I like the cake part and I like to feel the fluffiness of it. But again, they are a bit more practical to handle (as a party favor) and they add a visual interest to any party table. That`s my personal opinion anyways.

great vid and thanks for the directions! would be great to add in how long you melt the candy coating, where you get them and how much frosting to mix into the cake mix too. Just a few extra lines but much needed for super beginners

Hobby Lobby also has the melts. I have also used white candy bark from the grocery store and they turned out great! Just make sure that if you melt it in the microwave that you only melt for 10-15 seconds or less at a time and stir in-between.
Also, after I insert the sticks I place them back in the fridge for about 5 minutes so they harder up well.
Happy Cake Popping!

@Nkool303 No they will not dry out; they are coated, which seals in the cake and frosting. They are kinda like truffles. Super moist and super good. My family loves these. You could go to Starbucks and try one. They sell these there.
