South Korea's household debt again hit a fresh high in Q3.
According to the Bank of Korea, household credit reached 1-point-5 trillion U.S. dollars... up about 31 billion from the previous quarter.
While the growth is smaller than three months ago, demand for mortgages remains strong.
The BOK says demand for home purchases and jeonse - a type of lump-sum deposit, drove up the country's household debt.
Mortgages jumped more than 17 billion on-quarter...to 815 billion dollars, the biggest increase since Q4 of 2016.
