I think sogeking if he turns up this arc, should officially join the crew. This will also lay rest to the insane conspiracy theory of Usopp being sogeking since they'll be shown together simultaneously, and he wouldn't even need a room for himself.

Yamato's role in the crew could be the logkeeper.

Oden kept a journal on his travels, and Yamato could do the same

Honestly, a logkeeper / chronicler would be a rad and reasonable role. Like, a musician wasn't necessary but still nice.

Yamato even tried to leave with Ace (Whitebeard) then with luffy (Roger). Like Oden did.

I dont think Yamato identifies as male, just as Oden. So she is still female in sex and gender, but her identity is that of Oden. Like she see herself as the reincarnation of Oden or of Oden's will.

Well let's look at this way from what I've noticed in the story. For the female members of the crew they have been affiliated with another pirate group that was the enemy of the Straw Hats and at some point or another betrays them to joining Luffy. Remember Nami was once in a way connected with the Arlong Pirates and Robin was once connected to Crocodile and Baroc Works. In the end for the both of them they decided to travel with Luffy because the people they were associated with are gone and they decided to travel with him because they either formed a bond with the crew, had no where else to go or for lack of anything hated the people they were associated with in the first place.
