Vivi was considered to be a Straw Hat candidate because essentially she was one at the time, the emotional build up was something else at the time so that's why people love her and would want her in the crew. It's just stupid to say that she doesn't matter.
Aside from all of these, i always thought Law could be a straw hat pirate some day, they spent a lot of times together like, abnormally long. Even though it was an alliance, they were close as hell.
