World Choral Day Armenia, 2020

Live virtual concert

On December 19, at 11 a.m. Armenia, gladly adds her voice to the World Choral Day 2020. The event in Armenia is organized by the Komitas Festival in assistance with Armenian Little Singers International Association (LSA) and the Armenian Choral Conductors Association (ACCA) and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. Armenian and foreign choirs will join to sing for peace and unity in the world, which are values inextricably linked with the Armenian nation.

Choirs from Armenia – Arar choir, Agape choir, Children of Artsakh choir, Little Singers of Armenia choir, LSA Handbell choir, Tavush Diocese Children choir, National Chamber Choir of Armenia, Berd St. Johannes Church Choir will have performances on the stage. Choirs from abroad- Rapsodia choir, (Moldova) Ugnele Children’s choir, (Lithuania) and Coro Calicantus, will participate (Switzerland) with their solo videos.

At the end of the concert, choirs from Armenia-Arar choir, Agape choir, Children of Artsakh choir, Little Singers of Armenia choir, LSA Handbell choir, Tavush Diocese Children choir, National Chamber Choir of Armenia, Berd St. Johannes Church Choir and choirs from different countries Rapsodia choir, (Moldova) Ugnele Children’s choir, (Lithuania), Coro Calicantus (Switzerland), Alumnis of Efroni choir (Israel), Hamazkayin Western USA Nayirian choir, (USA), Shogher choir (Munich) will join us to perform “Erebuni Yerevan”. This song is about our capital city Yerevan, which is 2800 years old. Its ancient name is Erebuni.

Due to the pandemic in the world and the lockdown not all members of the choirs could perform, but those who have joined us represent the spirit and love of their choir.
