I will never forget the time when Joel refused to offer his church to people who lost their homes to a hurricane.

The whole “God being in debt to you” doesn’t sit right in my soul.
We, all of humanity, are in debt to God for the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. We all owe Christ!

you can look in the eyes of Kenneth Copeland and see evil.

when I was a pastor for a short time myself, I pointed out that if they give to the church under my leadership that there will be an expansions of feeding programs, literacy, homeless assistance, and even addiction recovery services and that is where you will see the blessing.

My grandfather was a Preacher. He had a modest church on the south side of Bloomington, Indiana. When he passed around the collection plate he would say, ”put what you can in”.He didn’t care if it was Pennie’s or dollars. The money was spent on the church bills and if there was anything left it went to the needy. He never took a penny for himself.

God does not need our money, He desires us to draw close to Him by obedience to His commandments and to love, offer service and sharing the Holy Gospel with anyone who wishes to hear.

I feel you're correct. All of these false prophets give Christianity a bad name. I feel sad for the poor people seeking God and knowledge of Jesus in this world of such distortion.

“In the beginning the church was a fellowship of men and women centering on the living Christ. Then the church moved to Greece, where it became a philosophy. Then it moved to Rome, where it became an institution. Next, it moved to Europe, where it became a culture. And, finally, it moved to America, where it became an enterprise.”

Money itself is not evil. It is the love of money that is evil.

Years ago, I used to watch TBN all day and night. I completely believed the prosperity gospel. I used to use my last money to get to church and tithe regularly. But, then my husband divorced me and left me alone with children and refused to pay child support. I of course went to the church first. I was awoken to the truth. One guy at a church in Florida "single parent ministry" for car repair, he laughed at me and said, "You really believe that" I then realized even the church would not help me. The mega church would not even give me a job because of student loans on my credit report. I scraped the bottom for a few months with not even the hotlines praying for me correctly. Through this time of living in shelters and being without a car, I grew closer to the real God in Jesus Christ and he gave me a job abroad that gave me free housing for me and my kids and I grew rich. I prospered greatly without giving one red cent to any church, online ministry or television network. God truly wants us to prosper and be in health. I am a living witness that he also is very close to the broken hearted and really cares for the orphans and widows. God is God alone and is able.

I heard a sermon in church once where the speaker said that if you are facing bankruptcy today, give MORE money than ever, and you will be rich next year! 😡 As a Christian, I feel like when someone is bankrupt, the congregation should come together and pitch in to make sure the person has everything they need.

If you’re going to give, feed the poor, feed the hungry, donate clothes, help the widows and the elderly, . The word is full of people who truly need help.

My father has been a Reverend my entire life. My mother and Father were never rich people. My dad worked at Walmart for 30 plus years and my mother put the same amount of time working in a nursing home as a CNA. They bought some land and built their own church, paying for it from their jobs. I've never seen my Dad take up an offering and would never approve of getting paid to preach the Word of God. These people are sickening. When God speaks of prosperity He isn't referring to money!!

My grandfather was a pastor. He and my grandmother worked full-time until they could collect Social Security and a pension at age 62. They lived in parsonages and maintained them. I spent a summer with them at age 12. The parsonage was a small three room home raised on blocks. We mowed an acre of grass every week and we're responsible for cleaning the church building and "out building" (restrooms). By then my grandparents were in their late 60s as I am now.

Back in 1963 they, while working full-time, bought a modest house for when my grandfather retired from preaching. They rented it out for years until the early 1970s.

My grandparents were humble and my grandfather preached the gospel. No prosperity preaching there.

The false guilt that we carried as a young couple with five little children, living in an apartment, is beyond belief. Not only from these tv vipers but also pastors who said if we didn't tithe, and give above and beyond with money and works, we were not spirit filled Christians and were nothing more than bench warmers. It did a number, especially on me, mentally and to this day, I still suffer from the ramifications of this.

I knew a girl that went to Creflo Dollars church .if you don’t have a job you’re not welcome you have to give a financial statement. And if you don’t make enough money they are not welcome in his church. Sad🙁

It's easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God..amen

The Church I go to, our Pastor lives poorly in wealth but rich in heart and love. His only source of income comes only from our church ministry. Everyone helps to provide for him and his family with a place to stay, donate food on his table, and donate clothing. Everyone lends a helping hand for our Pastor. He doesn't live in a mansion or drive nice cars. His sole purpose as our Pastor is to serve our Lord God by helping to spread the word of gospel to the people. Now, that's what you call a true Pastor in Christ. God bless his heart ❤️ 🙏

I helped Kenneth Copeland record his little radio show back in 1977 in Texas. He would come in in a shirt and jeans and he was not very talkative but friendly. Somewhere along the way Kenneth turned into this rich, crazy, weirdo. I can't help but think that money changed everything. He is unrecognizable from the young man I knew. It is wrong.
