Sometimes open invites are chill. I’m thinking of having my party both me inviting certain people and it being open to anybody else who wants to come as long as they ask me. Sometimes people don’t purposefully leave you out and they just think you won’t be interested or they forget about you so expressing casual interest and availability is perfectly fine and allows the person to invite you if they want you without you imposing it and making them feel forced and then you being at a party you’re not because people that don’t want you are not worth your time
