Unacceptable. My nephew's DAD died last week because power was not restored, and he was a dialysis patient. Expect repercussions.

It's so easy to apologize when your still making millions with zero repercussions while people literally died due to centerpoint negligence.

If he takes personal responsibility then he can pay for everything.

Immediately after this aired on tv. Everybody light bill went up permanently 50 dollars and ceo booked another flight to go on another luxury vacation....dont worry houston we are going to pay for alot of upper level personnel vacations yet the men whom actually repaired our lights will probably get an amazing 50 cent raise

Glad to hear it, continue to ride them until this is resolved. Let us not forget those who perished from Hyperthermia...

Apologies are cheap. It's pretty bad when we had to rely on HEB to track outages.

No apologies will be enough for those that still believe power could have been restored in a matter of days. It simply is not possible.

I can get a smart meter reading instantly for my home. I assume the utility can too. Yet somehow they can't determine which homes are offline? Are we supposed to believe this?

Queue the South Park clip.

"We're sorry" *rubs nipples*

Nationalize the power grid. Get rid of these corporate vultures. They made billions of dollars in profits and we suffer as a result.

Apology is just the first step, but now it's time for them to share their detail plans on how to protect against the next storm and financial transparency! The last time you want them to do is pile on the cost to consumer and keep all the big fat bonuses for their C-suites....

He addressed every change except for not having the transformers blow if someone blows out a candle, or addressing a major improvement on the time electricity is out and the frequency.
How is more communication going to help when we have no power or expect us to be grateful about removal of vegetation when this is something that should have already been done on a seasonal basis. Surely he doesn’t think he’s talking to a bunch of dum dums. 🙄🤡

The State of Texas is going to do a corrective action.

I'm willing to bet money that Centerpoint's chief of operations is someone's nephew or grandson and is unfit for the job.

Not asking the right questions. I wonder how many full time, physical repair crews Centerpoint has on staff, in Houston. I guarantee you, it's in the single digits. They don't keep enough people or resources available, for situations like these. If this happened statewide, we'd be up sh$$ creek.
