There are mixed reactions from some of the political parties in Parliament regarding the performance of the Eskom Board as it marks a year in office. Some parties say the board has made steady progress in tackling some of the challenges facing the power utility. While others say the entity is far from reaching its target of improving the energy availability factor to 70 percent in 2025.

If eskom functioned for an entire yr without a chairman, does it need a chairman? 3 ministers overseeing operations should be able to to add mega watts to the grid. Any positive results to declare in this regard?
U don't appoint a chairman just because there is a board. A chairman + his board are suppose to add value to an enterpruse. If the present setup did not add megawatts to the grid, why not sack the board as well l?
