72 Old Man Dies Of Covid, India Reports First Death Due To Omicron

India reposts a first in death due to Omicron variant of covid. Although Omicron is less lethal as compared to Delta variant, it is no joke. A 72-year-old covid patient was found to be positive with the omicron. According to a federal health ministry official, India's first COVID-19 fatality connected to the fast-spreading Omicron strain occurred in the state of Rajasthan. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the country has reported 243 new instances of the Omicron variant. So far, 828 of these persons have recovered from the new strain. With this new variation, Maharashtra and Delhi remain the worst-affected states. The number of Omicron cases in the country has already surpassed 2,100.
