✨Hi there future PAs! My name is Omar Ramirez and I am a classic car mechanic that was accepted into the Central Coast Physician Assistant program at A.T. Still University. I was a late bloomer in my PA journey as I started my medical career later into my undergrad. I majored in communication studies from Long Beach State University which I feel is a bit unorthodox, but that is the beauty of the PA profession. There are many backgrounds and many majors that make the best PAs!

My medical experience consists of working as an EMT in an ambulance where I did many types of calls such as critical care transports, neonatal, and psychiatric emergencies. I transitioned into the emergency room as an ER Technician where I learned to work collaboratively within a team of doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.

During my interview process, I brought all my past experiences and love for the classic car field to make a memorable impression and make myself stand out. We are all unique with different backgrounds, majors, and experiences, do not forget that and use it to your advantage!✨
