I live in Alaska and Native Alaskans, also eat many of these same foods. It’s really incredible to see similar cultural traditions on different sides of the globe. Mattak is called Muktuk here.

I like the way you use nice words and smiling to introduce your beautiful culture . As Eritrean I knew that Greenland is far away from my country, but you are making it closer to us by your videos. ❤ 🇪🇷

Wow! This is not about Mattak, but you guys really make me feel like visiting Greenland. You're undoubtedly great Ambassadors to The Great Greenland.

I wouldn't survive a day with how I can't handle fishy flavours. I'm just jealous of how happy and healthy and real they seem♥ ^_^

As a Swiss, the fact that you put Aromat on traditional Greenlandic Whale-Skin gotta be the most awesomely hilarious thing ever. People think that Fondue, Raclette, Röschti, Watches, the Alps or Chocolate are the "Swissest thing ever", but here we all know, the Swissest thing in the world is Aromat. Tastes like chemistry-lab with salt, but almost every household has it and uses it😂

Edit to help replies: Aromat was invented in Switzerland in the 1950s by the Swiss and released here first. To this day there is a Swiss flag on Aromat sold here to celebrate the pride we take in having invented this chemical wanna-be-herb-salt. The fact that the inventors were employed by the Swiss branche of a German owned company, Knorr, under which it was released does not make it German. It's like the most iconic Australian chocolate drink, Milo, is Australian and NOT Swiss, eventhough it was invented and released by the Australian branch of Nestle, a Swiss company.

I'm from the states i live in maine. It's always baffled me since I was little how people can be so offended and racist by food, language clothes, you know culture....I love learning about other people and their cultures and how they live. It looks tasty I would try it 😅

For those wondering what aromat is here's the ingredient list
Salt, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), lactose (MILK), onion powder (3.2%), yeast extract, palm fat, sunflower oil, spices (turmeric, garlic), onion extract, mushroom extracts, spice extracts (turmeric, CELERY, clove), bay leaf extract. May contain gluten, egg and mustard

My grandpa always told me stories of living in Greenland in his 20s. Saw some photos, too. He would tell me fascinating stories about how food was sourced and how living was done. I’m so grateful your channel has popped up on my feed! My grandpa was my best friend, a world traveller and he died at the age of 92 in 2015. Maybe he is sending me your channel. 😊 all the love ! ❤ I am vegan-ish so I probably wouldn’t do well but you never know. Maybe I would try a few things, especially knowing that you folks do it well and it’s tradition that keeps you going. 😊

Watching from the Philippines 🇵🇭💗We're far away from each other and very different countries too (here it's tropical). In each video of yours, we learn more about your country. Incredible world we live in

Aromat is THE kitchen staple of Swiss people (has been invented by a Swiss for the Swiss market, so no wonder). You can even find small packages of two eggs and a little aromat in our grocery stores to be able to take it on hikes. 😂 I looove that you love it! 😍 enjoy your meal, or as we Swiss would say: En Guete! 😉
