EU broke its own rules when they let Cyprus into EU. Their rule was, you can't have a border dispute. What Cyprus had was a border dispute and then some. It was bound to break with that step. UK was just the first step. Nowadays it's Poland, Hungary and Slovakia not heeding the decisions of EU.

Call Trump. He can find a solution in 24 hours as he did in Ukraine.

How can the economic, religious, political and grievances between the two sides of Cyprus be resolved peacefully? Why can't the two sides of the island coexist without uniting, like two sovereign states or countries, like Italy and France based on mutual respect? Why are the people of Northern Cyprus becoming hostages to the political ambitions and incompetence of the UN bureaucrats?
Due to its lack of international recognition, Northern Cyprus's economic isolation creates severe hardships for its citizens. Many Cypriots in the north feel trapped in a political and economic deadlock, with few opportunities for development outside of Turkey’s influence. The incompetence and political ambitions of the UN bureaucrats, their inability to break this cycle and provide tangible solutions, exacerbate the frustration. It’s time for highly respected leaders, business people, bankers, and lawyers from both sides to do the right thing and play a constructive role in shaping the future of Cyprus.
This would allow each side to maintain political autonomy and respect their sovereignty while cooperating in shared areas. The EU could be an incentive, though this would require removing the de facto partition and lifting sanctions, which would be a good first step in the right direction.
A peaceful resolution could involve joint economic projects (such as shared trade zones, tourism ventures, and energy exploration) that would benefit both communities. Rebuilding and re-integrating infrastructure, such as energy grids, transportation networks, and telecommunications, could stimulate growth and mutual interdependence.

If the island were to be united again, no doubt political polarisation would again appear among the Greek Cypriots with extreme hostile attitudes against the Turkish Cypriot minority.

I hope it gets resolved but finding two=state solution here is difficult thing because lack of acknowledgement by the US, Russia, China or other powers of TRNC. They should resolve it and a federal state is a better resolve for both sides but TRNC is coming more on the hands of President Erdogan personal bargaining as leverage with the Greece, and EU.
