I agree The Balboa in Banker's Hill is the best I've had in SD. Boomerangs in Clairemont is always overlooked. I had a suprisingly good burger at King's Fish House too.

p.s.
My previous post stated that my family’s favorite burgers in San Diego were from Red Robin and The Habit. However, after viewing this video and asking them to confirm my beliefs, my family informed me that In-N-Out Burger is definitely their favorite burger in San Diego- you just have to eat it fresh, like most burgers. They also like the option of having it cut in half.

Unfortunately the only burger I've had in San Diego is at In n Out and it was really good. Definitely plan to try at least one of these places on my next trip.

When I was in San Diego October 2022 I went to In and Out and they have really good burgers.

Oooh ...Jeffs beach Burger sounds interesting. I have never been there even though I live in La Jolla Colony . The Cheese Shop is usually my go to in that neighborhood (the lamb and roast pork sandwiches there are some of my fav's). I will have to give Jeff's a try. The rest of your list are all respectable and deserve recognition. SD has a very respectable burger scene.
