Museum Unveils Declassified Roswell Artifact

In 1947, an amateur pilot reported seeing a flying saucer around Mount Rainier. Then, a rancher in New Mexico found something odd on his property. “RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region” was the headline that followed.

Years later, declassified government documents revealed there was no such saucer. What was found in Roswell was simply a sophisticated balloon used to spy on the Soviet Union.

Now, the National Air and Space Museum has uncovered a new Roswell artifact that is sure to shed light on the events of 1947 and the age-old question, “Are we alone in the universe?”
