It was nice of the makeup artist to reach out and be open about wanting to practice in darker skin tones, even when probably she has more white clients because is Utah. That speaks a lot about her. Also i think she did the eyes beautifully.

For this makeup, i think adding fake eyelashes, smudging and darkening more the eyeshadow and adding a gloss on your lips can make the look popped more, if you going for that, otherwise it looks good.

Another thing, i think is amazing that you went on to try pageantry. Life is about trying new things and doing what you desire.

Love the eye makeup but maybe a darker lip for a sultry look. The dress all the layers and ruffles reminds me more of a little girls dress so maybe something more form fitting would fit the sultry vibe.

As a fellow south asian same age as you, its not hard to do makeup on brown skin, and to anyone reading this dont let anyone convince you otherwise ♡

its all about technqiue and knowing your undertones. dont be afraid of colour, especially deep jewel tones, ultramarine, emerald, burgundy, copper, deep red, etc they look great. We can make glitters look more understated and thanks to having typically larger eyes can rock a full glam lash no effort. Brown and red lipstick is our best friend!

I'm kind of bingung your videos rn. This is definitely the most flattering makeup look so far. (I have a really similar eye shape/color btw.) You're right black eyeliner in the waterline does look fantastic. It's really flattering and makes your eyes pop.

The girl in the tutorial you and I all have large, deep-set eyes. White in the waterline and the cut crease (what the other makeup artist did) are all things that make eyes look bigger and more deep-set. So basically it's a shading techniques that recreates what you already have. So doing it on you is kind of redundant and not always the most flattering. The darker eyeliner and the minimul eyeshadow in the crease is something most eye shapes can't necessarily pull off so it makes you stand out.

Also with your skin tone gold, girl... Gold. Gold everything. (Gold in the waterline even). Warmer tones in general are going to be much flattering with your undertones. I think thin line of gold on the inner corner and above the eyeliner would be stunning under the lights with this look in particular. Subtle but still eye-catching.

Girl you’re doing everything right like this hairstyle is perfect for you, this makeup suits so well. The only thing i’d like to see on you is maybe a warmer lipstick? Because that makeup artist and you use very pink shades but i don’t think that suits you. Also what do you think about a dark green dress. I saw your short where you were trying a few dresses and i really liked how this green looked on you.

Just a suggestion, don't try to recreate or waste time trying to follow white MUA. I'm Bangladeshi, with the same skin tone as you, I even have dark circles, so none of the makeup routine I tried ever work. Later, I tried to follow brown MUA, and it worked wonders. I have a better understanding of which shades to choose and how to do makeup simple to glam. You can try Smita Deepak's makeup tutorials. Hopefully, it will be helpful.
