Is this a free update? Cuz you guys shouldn’t be updating base software every year or even two years or three. Kontakt 7 barely works with my new komplete kontrol S49. You should focus on making the experience better before pushing another paid update.

I understand if you want to create new instruments and sell them but base software, the backend of the ecosystem should be updated less often.

Stop milking your customers or you’ll risk ending up a cheap company with cheap products.

Kontakt 7 is barely not 2 years now and you guys just released another version. Hate say this, it seems users can't open old project files having kontakt 5, 6 or 7. Native Instruments guys are MILKING customers. Sick of this constant updates....

Kontakt 7 is still buggy and barely usable with my MK III keyboard. This is what happens when a company is run by accountants.

Please add "Quick Load" to the New Basic View so I can quickly load non native access libraries again. I can only access quick load by switch back to the classic view.

Nah. I'm skipping this version. Nothing seems really innovative here. Chords Tool and Phrases they are late to the game. Many major DAWs already implemented that, and if yours hasn't, there are plenty of cheap paid and free software that can do that.

So.. let me start by saying that I love Kontakt and working with Kontakt. Nabbing Komplete got me Kontakt 6 and I eventually decided to grab the Kontakt 7 upgrade on my own, it's really good. But 8? With all due respect: watching this video doesn't make me want to upgrade. The contrary actually... because the way I see it you only need the new Kontakt for new instruments, but... why would I want those in the first place?

This video doesn't explain anything, it doesn't tell me "Ey Shell, so these are some exciting new Kontakt 8 features you might like". Instead you're trying to persuade me into getting "new instruments" and "new librararies", but without telling me why I should care about them.

Tried the k8 player and I really like it so far, the chord and phrase tools are great, I like the phrase tool on percussion instruments for example, also the leap sampler is amazing too

There still is no "load random preset" button neither in Kontakt nor in Komplete Kontrol. That's just insane. Please hire me as a freelancer and I will do the job myself.

will a nkx format/extension works with Kontakt many different ways and Kontakt 8 Player is blind to .nkx extension....i trying to install a digital piano plugin with nkx (monolith) format....also getting Native Access invalid path

So in 7 you made it impossible to change the instrument once you choose it, and had to close it to browse other instruments, and now miracle - you can select again instruments and patches in them at the same time. And that's a feature for a whole new major version? I doubt! It should have been in 7.1 or whatever 7 upgrade. Also what is that combining of instruments - wasn't that also supported by now by multitimbrality? I don't see any really interesting feature here to make me really want 8 over 7. Nothing in the sampler engine itself and not a single word about the most required feature - a scalable UI.

For sample libraries like Samples From Mars with no proper GUI (Graphic User Interface) for Kontakt, what’s the best way to tweak the parameters on the fly? E.g. Are there any nice Drum Machine Kontakt instruments I can load different vintage drum packs into?
