Favoritism is a BIG problem; certain schools are known for shady recruiting antics and seem to have less penalties in games - blatant at times. It's all about... guess what? The MONEY!

Everyone talks about paying college athletes, but the real problem is sports don’t belong in college (I know I know, it’s a been part of the system forever and it’s how they make money and how dare I). College is about learning (it’s suppose to also be about bettering yourself and preparing you to live on your own) and getting your degree, etc. We need to stop giving out full ride scholarships (which will also end the debate about “well athletes are paid with a free education and free room and board”.)

Imagine applying for a job that makes you work full-time and travel all across the country and they tell you that your salary is “you don’t have to pay us at all to work for us!”

That’s what giving a scholarship to players as compensation is like.

I disagree with that escrow idea. A lot of these students are coming from very poor backgrounds, I feel like the money they would be receiving would be better served for surviving in college, bc that shit ain't easy, especially if you're a poor athlete.
