thanks so much for this! another great review, it was very helpful and informative. finally have settled on both makita battery platforms as my main primary 2 platforms. and managed to aquire my first makita tool (based on your prior recommendation). which was the subcompact 18v black makita drill xfd11. very pleased with it 👍

So based on the performance of the manual cut, which you would mostly be doing. There's no reason to go for the super sawzall. I've used both and always thought the gen2 would be able to keep pace with the super sawzall in a head to head. Good to see it confirmed.

@4thewin - Thanks for compiling all this great info! I'm noticing the 60v Dewalt (DCS389) isn't in the rankings. Did it just perform badly enough that it's off the bottom of the list, or have you not tested it?

I like single finger trigger on my recip and jig saws

I use this saw on a weekly basis have zero issue its cut like crazy is light and undestrustible
