while i might want the Jets to lay a 50 burger on the the Pats (thank you for the laughter studio audience! LOL!), i want the Jets to do just enough to win by two scores (to prevent an unplanned mistake, either from coach or by player, from losing the game). i'd prefer to keep the undisclosed plays from the playbook in the playbook for future use vs the really good teams or the playoffs.

one way to beat a power rushing team with pulling OLmen is to have the DL get great push on the OL and plug up the pulling lanes behind the LoS with displaced OL. the Sons of Anarchy did this well (sorry i cant be more specific with the game in which it happened). also, to counter an old school power game with a FB you needed multiple LBs to take on the lead blocker, like a LB Scott, so more LBs than DBs for this game. DC Dave would go jumbo on the DL, stuff the box on defense, double or triple team TE Henry, and see if the NE WRs can beat any of the Jets CBs in man coverage (is this as good a take as when Larry David requested to be the OC and call the plays for the Jets in 2016? there were times when i suspected it really was Larry David calling the plays).
