I don"t get why it should be obj[checkprop]? How do you know it"s a variable?

cant i just check if the property is there by looking to see if its there? This just seems like an overcomplicated solution for something that doesn't require any code.

none of this is making sense. Like oh "do this other complicated equation to add a property to a variable" like fuck that, if I'm doing javascript for work I'm just gonna go straight to the variable and add in the property that way. Like, in what real world situation would you need to have to use these overcomplicated solutions over the much easier ones?
