UPDATE 10:30am EST

Solar Wind Impact. It is early, but this appears to be an interplanetary shock wave.

VERY sorry for that confusing wording on my part. I will correct and clarify tomorrow.

No eventually the solar shutdown, IF it continues, would indeed bring colder temperatures... no matter what the shield does. The field will never disappear and the weakening IF it were to flip is brief.

Mercury is about to conjoin Sedna from a heliocentric view. next to do so is earth actually, in a few weeks. Currently 3x the distance from Neptune.

After repeating that quote in Promethius, the cyborg 'David' responds to a question regarding the randomness of the statement: "Just something from a film I like."

tiny tiny tiny part. Cars make so much less damage than you are told by mainstream sources.

I worry the solar magnetics are getting so screwy that slight variations in low coronal fields might have wild solar wind effects.

While the southwest is about to bake in the US... the east is about to get a major cooldown. The hot is hotter, the cool is colder... it is all extremes :)

Im betting the solar wind spike on ACE carried heavier elements with it. Catch me up on the helium thing?

You need to tune apache to handle the load. If you've got access to it, look around on google for "tuning apache high traffic". Helps to isolate the different functions of your site so the forum doesn't hinder the static pages ...etc... the pie is only so big so shuffling available given resources can help a lot.

A few nights ago I was outside and the entire sky lit up for a moment with kind of a greenish light. This was followed by a single boom sound. It didn't seem to be lightning... no storms here (Santa Monica, CA) hasn't rained in awhile. Has anybody else seen anything like this or know what it could have been? Great video S0, thanks, really enjoy watching them.

Thanks bud! That Leavenworth quake certainly caught my attention. I spent all but one of the first 37 years of my life in the Pacific Northwest & though I now live in Texas I still feel strongly connected to it. The odd quake locations scream massive pressure on the Cascadian Subduction Zone, to me.
