The concept of Kong's battle axe is brilliant. The only thing hard enough to penetrate the skin of Godzilla is Godzilla's skin itself.

A lot of people scoffed at Kong using an axe when the first trailers dropped. Honestly, I find a makeshift weapon made from pieces other Titans is a more elegant way of giving Kong a "power-up" than him manifesting random lighting powers that come out of nowhere.
