Just had this for desert John. Easy to make and a good sized pudding. I’d say this would serve six people quite easily. I also made the lemon curd and was really impressed with how well that turned out. I t was delicious and everything got a thumbs up from everyone.

I scored half a dozen big beautiful lemons from my neighbour and have been trying to decide what to do with them. I think this is the winner. I need to use up some eggs too as my chickens are being very productive so I’ll make the lemon curd and also some custard. Perfect! I was thinking I wanted to steam the pudding but looking at that lovely crust I think I’ll bake it. I assume my Mason Cash pudding basin can go in the oven. Better check that!

The trouble is your cooking is so like my own (well we’re from the same part of the country after all) that I just like to watch and sit there nodding - it just reinforces that I’m doing things right 👍🏻😆
I was taught by my mum and gran how to cook. My gran was in service as a cook up until 1919. And a lot of her recipes were similar to yours 👍🏻
