The president struck a deal with moderate Democrats to change who receives direct payments: Individuals making more than $80,000 or couples making more than $160,000 won’t receive a check. I am making this comment as a non-citizen, but OMG! How long does it take for the American government to get one thing done for its people? I have to compare, but as a Canadian, I get $900 every two weeks for the last six months. It seems ridiculous the amount of squabbling just to give people who are hurting $1400!
