Brexit no deal warning, David Frost says UK deal is 'far away' as Brussels keeps halting progress

Brexit negotiator David Frost has warned that the UK is "far away" from getting a deal with the European Union as Brussels pushes back progress.
David Frost explained the economic aspects of a free trade agreement should have been confirmed quickly but the European Union is creating issues with the level-playing field and fisheries.
Mr Frost said: "We are frustrated that it is clear from the discussions that the Free Trade Agreement and the economic aspects of the agreement could be agreed pretty quickly.
But other issues like level playing field, fisheries and so on, get in the way. I hope we can make some constructive progress next round."
Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove confirmed that any request from the European Council for a transition period extension will be rejected.
Frost revealed that Boris Johnson is to fly to Brussels next month for his first personal talks with European leaders in more than four months, as Downing Street tries to revive the Brexit negotiations.
