Prince William & Princess Catherine were friends the 1st year (both 19 years old) & later roommates with 2 other students. She was the only girl not chasing him at St Andrews University & he appreciated her having his back so he could pick who he wanted to spend time with. They had a great friendly relationship & she taught him how to cook (got him to help clean up if she cooked) & challenged him athletically. She has a wicked sense of humor and has actually not been afraid to compete against him athletically (she beat him in boating races 😄).
