Seen you used the set hammer you made a few videos back😅 that's what I have been watching for to see how it was used. It's just like I was thinking. Awesome!

Excellent work, you can't beat a forged fork for strength.

in the 60's and early 70's in the little country town in wv where i grew up their were 3-4 smithies around, old men that probly 40 years in already and had the stuff at home to do all they needed, i always loved hanging out with them and messing with the bellows a nd blowers and stuff . those old guy made their tractor parts and plow diggers and about every thing that could be made . i can imagine what it was like for the old timers in the 1700s fixing wagons and tools and such . i enjoyed your video, first one i had seen, ill check out your other videos

i made a karambit out of a boxed wrench once; that is the extent of my "forging"- so i didnt know what to expect at the end. didnt realize its a literal die for bending things and stuff on your table top. nice work.

The skill of the hand is more important in any kind of work. It makes you love the work you do... and the good work done here is evidence enough.💥💥

Fantastic forging, as always. Before you bent the tines up, I was thinking the whole thing would make an excellent twisting wrench if you'd put a slot into what became the hardy stem. You'd have to make a whole range of different sizes, but they'd certainly look good hanging on the wall!

Really cool forging. But if you don't have a power hammer, you can make an effective bending fork from a piece of 1/2 rebar. No stem on the fork. Just clamp the base of the "U" in your vise.
