Jojo gives some details on the production of Nerve's self titled record and the mindset the band was in when writing their new material.

I'd love to hear more about his gear. Which shell materials, design he prefers. What he likes in a snare, cymbals choices etc. his sound is Always wonderful. Expressive and unique.

One of a Kind..allways inspirated Kind..I remember jojo doing in switzerland in 1985(?) a vinylrecord called "STILLETTO". after Hearing that, and the 2 tracks from mr.mayer i knew that is different from other Drummers in switzerland..Thats a Little Anekdote..i really tried hard to get lession with him as teacher..After some weeks he told me in a letter that he has too much work to do and see himself not as a good teacher..years after i heard he never gave anyone lessons..What a honest and authenthic Person..Hes drumming is still big influence to me cause its unique..and thats what i learn from him without a lesson..find your own drumming style, be unique..Thanks for that, JoJo !!

You have to be def or spiritually blind for not be aware that this is beyond the recycled ashes of the past sistems of music develop like jazz(with all respect), rock, techno or whatever, a really pushing towards the future.

As a metal/ prog player. I highly admire what artists like Mayer do. Because its so technically consistent and clean. I normally hate electronic music, but this is live music. Its actual musicians performing and playing. Makes such a difference. Because each artist is vibing off each other. Not just some producer clicking on a midi controller and everything sounds predictable. I find inspiration in all genres when the music is good. Nerve should be headlining more festivals because they can save drum and bass, and make a live festival series with similar artists. EDM needs to die.
