I love his demeanor and his responses. “We’re going to work really hard over the next 2 days”. “We’re gonna rally” and “we’re going to learn”. Get home safely, and feel the love from your home crowd! We all believe in you guys.

As a Panthers fan I've gotta give genuine applause to Edmonton tonight. Every team makes mistakes, Edmonton just caught the cats slipping at the perfect time tonight and took advantage of it. I hope Panthers win at home Tuesday, but now it's a series. I'm impressed, GG Oilers.

Maurice is a welcome change from the usual coach speak. Here in South Florida, there were plenty of questions on why there was a coaching change as the Panthers were the best scoring team in the NHL. It was a gamble because of the entire change of style. GM Zito made all the right moves to make this franchise go. BTW the Edmonton fans have been great. Their passion has been incredible unlike some other fans the Panthers have encountered in these playoffs. The pots and pans are ready for Tuesday night.

Maurice is a beauty. If any team is going to win the cup against EDM, I'm actually glad it's FLA. Maurice has deserved a cup for years now, and this looks to be the year.

Long overdue, Paul. Rock on, bud. 🍻👍

i really asked a lot of my freinds and we all really would have been thrilled if they won tonight but we all really wanted them to clinch at home we deserve that for all the years they sucked and we stood by them!

Bringing it home to win The Cup at home! Chalk it up to a bad game and be done with it. Bob is a beast, he's got this. Kudos to Paul Maurice for class and calmness after a notably tough night.

Effort and assignment defense was abysmal. You can't continue to hang your goalies out to dry. Bob didn't deserve that type of play in front of him. One win away. Just come out with some purpose next game.

Oilers fans got a win on home ice, they got to cheer, Bob got some extra rest, Stolarz got some ice time. Cup can now be raised on home ice. Everyone wins. Edmonton was due for an offensive outburst. Hopefully they got both games goals all in one game, and Panthers win 2-0 at home Tuesday.

Cool as a cucumber he don’t give a shit about an 8-1 loss, he’s got that cup in the trunk of his car heading home to Florida

Paul Maurice never ceases to impress me with his demeanor. Win or lose, he's always the same.

You can tell, ahead 3 games to 1, there is no pressure or urgency with this coach at all. He has total confidence, his team will get the cup if not game 5, or game 6... May not need a game 7 but he has 3 shots at it, unlike the other team.

This is a man who is not worried at all.

Florida took their foot off the gas, and Edmonton took advantage. I don't see Florida losing 4 straight.😢😢

This is actually an easier loss to get over than if it had been a 3-2 loss in triple OT.

Just forget it and focus on the next one.

Oilers have played well for long stretches. If they can play loose again on Tuesday of course they have the firepower to win.

Let's see. As a neutral fan it would be fun to see this go 7.

PM is the most articulate coach in the NHL!
PS: Nurse should have received a 5 minute game misconduct and ejected from that game.

Panthers looked tense all game to the point of being lethargic out there. They were out-skated and that's our game.

Game 5 is going to be similar in terms as "feel". It can be tense knowing you're so close, that the trophy's in the building and subconsciously that affects you.

Alternately, for Edmonton, it's the same, do or die.

So the Panthers just need to be "The Panthers". Play to their identity, play their game, have fun and live with the results. Chances are "positive results".

Home is where to do it!

The Bennett knee to knee missed major / game was the momentum shift this game that started the downward spiral.
